It took four years for Mac DeMarco to give his fans new music, but his supporters were surprised with his recent release as it features a whopping 199 songs.

According to Yahoo! The musician just dropped "Five Easy Hot Dogs" in January, but more recently, he surprised fans with even more tracks by "data-dumping" unreleased songs that were recorded over the past five years.

The recent record, titled "One Wayne G," features a shocking 199 songs and all of them are available on major music platforms online.

The project was reportedly named after National Hockey League legend Wayne Gretzky, who previously worked with DeMarco in the past.

The outlet noted that the all the tracks featured in the album is similar to the "Five Easy Hot Dogs" record, which songs had titles to the road trip locations where he took inspiration from.

Some of the song titles in his new album were titled in a date form. It was cronologically arranged from "20180512" to "20230114," meaning the he has been recording since 2018.

Not all titles were numbers as there were actual words like "The Truth," "No Doubt About It," and "Proud True Toyota."

As of this writing, the album is available for streaming online, but his record label teased fans about potentially releasing it through vinyl and cassette.

Mac DeMarco Tour 2023

Aside from his latest music project, the 32-year-old artist will be going on a world tour, which will kick off at the Ford Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on July 14. He will then head to major cities like Paris, New York, and London.

For his set, it's unclear if he's going to include song from his recent 199-song record, but he noted in a press release that he will bring songs from "Five Easy Hot Dogs" to the stage.

"Hello, Mac D here. In July we are bringing 'Five Easy Hot Dogs' to the stage. Should be nice, should be different, hopefully, it will be special. Hope to see you there," he wrote. (via NME)
