Aerosmith has been touring non-stop for decades now and it seems like they are ready to retire as the group recently dropped hints of a farewell tour.

According to Kool 101.7, the band's logo with the words "Peace Out" mysteriously appeared on several venues around the United States.

In addition, there is also a countdown on the group's official website which will end on May 1, hinting that they will share a big announcement by that time.

Fans immediately took online to share their thoughts on the matter, with one fan writing, "Peace Out? Sounds like our May 1st announcement is a Farewell Tour."

Another fan chimed in and mentioned that rock n' roll will be "empty" in about five years, adding, "The legends won't be around. Think about it- we all grew up with them. They've always been there. No more. Those big event concerts won't happen again. It's gonna be weird."

As of this writing, Aerosmith has yet to confirm if the teasers and countdown will be an announcement for a tour but Joe Perry said earlier this month that they will go on tour this year.

Fans are curious whether drummer Joey Kramer would join them in the upcoming concerts after he stepped away due to injuries over the past few years.

However, it appears that he will not play the drums anymore, but Perry clarified that he's still officially a part of the group.

"It's been mostly because physically, [Joey has] just been beating himself up over the last 50 years... I don't think he's gonna be sitting behind the drums, at least for this next run," he explained.

Aerosmith Farewell Tour

Steven Tyler has previously confirmed that a farewell tour is happening, but the band still remained active seven years after his 2016 interview.

Speaking to Howard Stern, the musician clarified that he enjoys performing with his bandmates, but it's time for them to do a farewell tour because "it's time."

He claimed that the farewell tour would be in 2017, but with it, no series of concerts were announced.

Later in the conversation, the rock star confirmed that Aerosmith will be "gone for good" after the said farewell concerts.
