After five decades of rocking stages worldwide, Aerosmith is embarking on its historic farewell tour.

Variety reported that on Monday, the four-time Grammy winners and Rock and Roll Hall of Famers announced "Peace Out" - a culminating 40-city North American trek to celebrate their high-profile career.

They said, "After 50 years, 10 world tours and playing for over 100 million fans, it's time for one last go."

Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, and Brad Whitford further said in their joint press release, "It's not goodbye it's PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you're going to get the best show of our lives."

Unfortunately, Aerosmith's founding drummer Joey Kramer will not be able to accompany the band on their upcoming tour.

Although Joey is dearly appreciated as one of the original members of the group, at this time, he reportedly has decided to stay behind and prioritize his health and family.

The statement added, "Joey's unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."

A hilarious video was released along with the tour's announcement, featuring celebrities such as Eminem, Slash, Bill Burr, Terry Crews, and even Dolly Parton responding to news outlets reporting on the potentially apocalyptic situation.

Tyler closes out the clip by saying, "And if you think we're joking, 'Dream On.'"

Presented by Live Nation, the tour launches on September 2, 2023, in Philadelphia and includes performances in some of the most legendary buildings in the US and Canada - such as Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Madison Square Garden in New York City, State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Moody Center in Dallas, Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, United Center in Chicago and Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

Those interested in attending one of the upcoming concerts can find all the details on Live Nation's page.

Special guest, rock and roll veterans, The Black Crowes, will accompany the band on this tour. As of now, it is scheduled to close at Montreal's Bell Centre on January 26, 2024.

However, Joe mentioned that other cities within Canada and abroad might be added to their schedule.

He told the Associated Press, "It's the final farewell tour, but I have a feeling it will go on for a while."

"But I don't know how many times we'll be coming back to the same cities. It could be the last time."

Aerosmith has been ranked among the greatest rock bands of all time by various publications, including Rolling Stone and VH1.

The band has sold over 150 million albums worldwide and continues to tour and perform. However, the upcoming tour is some of the last of their performances.
