Jeezy has been arrested for possession of an assault rifle. According to TMZ, the weapon turned up during an investigation into the deadly shooting that occurred backstage during a concert in Mountain View, CA.

The concert was a part of Wiz Khalifa's annual Under The Influence tour.

The entertainment news outlet reports that Irvine PD executed a search warrant on the rapper's tour bus this past Sunday (Aug. 24) at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in connection with the shooting.

Jeezy performed on the tour and it is believed the assault rifle belongs to the Atlanta rapper. Several members of the rapper's entourage were also arrested for gun possession. It has been reported that he is being held on $1,000,000 bail.

As previously reported, officers confirmed Friday (Aug. 22) there was one known victim who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

"We heard seven shots ... And then people started running everywhere," one witness said. "It sounded like they were coming from the backstage."

It has been reported that outside agencies also responded. Police spokesperson Shino Tanaka confirmed the shooting occurred backstage.

Witnesses said the weapon used in the shooting appeared to be a black pistol with a large magazine.

Following the shooting, Wiz Khalifa cancelled a concert scheduled for Saturday (Aug. 23) and tweeted condolences to the victim's family.

This year's lineup included Rich Homie Quan, Ty Dolla $ign, Sage the Gemini, Mack Wilds, Iamsu!, Wiz Khalifa and DJ Drama.

Mountain View police are asking for anyone with any video, photos, or similar evidence of the shooting, or of the backstage area leading up to the shooting, to contact them at (650) 903-6395.
