People thought that Thirty Seconds to Mars was lost in space, after not releasing music for over five years.

However, it seems like the band is back on its feet and they have been, in fact, back in the studio working on new material for quite some time now.

According to reports, Thirty Seconds to Mars is releasing its sixth studio album titled "It's The End Of The World But It's A Beautiful Day," which is slated for September.

Fans who have been missing the band can listen to the first single off the album now, though.

The song is called "Stuck" and its accompanying music video was directed by lead vocalist and actor Jared Leto himself.

'Stuck'

Although the band is yet to actually talk much about its forthcoming release, it seems like "It's The End Of The World But It's A Beautiful Day" is going to be a visual album.

The music video for "Stuck" is a remarkable statement by Thirty Seconds to Mars entering a new era and Leto as a director.

Thanks to my incredibly creative mother, my brother and I were instilled with a love for art and photography from a very young age," said the singer-slash actor. "The video for 'STUCK', our first new song in five years, is a love letter to some of my favorite photographers. Artists who made a very deep impact on me like Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, Robert Mapplethorpe, Diane Arbus, Herb Ritts, and more.

"Artists whose work changed the way I saw things and showed me new possibilities at every turn."

Comeback

Apparently, Thirty Seconds to Mars has been working on this highly anticipated return to music for years now, it was just a matter of timing and the right sound.

"There are a lot of those sounds that definitely are on the new [Thirty Seconds To Mars] album," Leto explained.

"[...] Those sounds [from that decade] are kinda embedded in our psyche, and they really speak directly to our heart sometimes. They take us back to the films that we grew up on. So I love to pull from that stuff."

Leto revealed that he and his brother Shannon Leto have been making music since the pandemic lockdown.

Perhaps after the release of this album, there might be a new one lined up soon after.
