Will Oasis finally reunite soon?

Oasis members have been dealing with reunion rumors for years since the band split in 2009 after Noel Gallagher's exit. While the other members approve of it, Liam Gallagher has a different plan instead.

Liam Gallagher Says Oasis Will Be Heard Again

Instead of seeing Oasis perform its classic songs, Liam confirmed that he - at least - would play solo shows to mark the 30th anniversary of the band's "Definitely Maybe" album in 2024.

On Thursday, the musician took to Twitter to announce the news saying he would play the album's track list soon.

He also replied to a fan who asked him whether he would also play the album's B sides, saying he would play the songs from start to finish. Meanwhile, he clarified to another user that he was not joking since the album needs to be celebrated properly instead of being repackaged alone.

One Twitter user told Liam could not do it without his brother, Noel, but the musician challenged the fan and said, "Watch me."

It will not be the first time Liam will include Oasis songs on his setlist. During his Nov. 19 show at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, he performed 10 Oasis songs out of the total 16 songs, including "Stand By Me," "Roll It Over," Morning Glory," and "Wonderwall," to name a few.

His comments came after Noel told the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera that Oasis would not have a tour, so they would not return to play the album. He, however, confirmed the arrival of its expanded reissue in 2024.

"In the Sony archives we've found tapes dating to those sessions," he wrote. "We thought they were lost, but they were mislabeled. They are wonderful versions of those songs, some acoustic versions."

Noel Gallagher Has 1 Condition Before a Potential Oasis Reunion

While Oasis will not definitely reunite anytime soon, Noel told BBC Radio Manchester that no one should ever say never with regard to the band's plans. Still, he clarified that it would need "a set of extraordinary circumstances" before the bandmates perform together again.

Oasis fell apart after 18 years of performing when the Gallagher brothers got involved in an intense rivalry. In 1994, Liam left the band and started to insult his bandmates, leading his brother to leave them and disappear for days.

They also had the biggest fight after they got drunk one evening.

The band faced another issue when Alan White, who replaced Tony McCarroll, was arrested alongside Liam after their brawl in Munich.
