Corey Taylor commented on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's way of honoring musicians but snubbing other "deserving" acts.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the inductees of its class of 2023 ahead of the induction ceremony, during which seven music acts would be honored. This caused fans to slam the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame over the snubs.

Meanwhile, Taylor shared his thoughts about the induction and revealed why he no longer cares about it.

Corey Taylor Snubs Back Rock Hall

Taylor expressed his disappointment during his interview with Jason Bailey of Audacy Check In. During the discussion, he was asked whether he would want to be inducted through any of his projects - his solo band, Slipknot, and Stone Sour.

The musician said he does not care about it anymore just like what others feel. He explained that, while Rock Hall inducts those who deserve the title, those groups who should be inducted before others are still yet to experience it.

"I don't even know if I'll even be considered for something like that, and I couldn't care less, to be honest," Taylor said. "That's a high-five at the end of your career. I would rather have that later on. It's just something I don't really concern myself with."

According to Taylor, it would be a killer if he could be inducted through his three projects. While he believes he will not get a slot, he said it does not bother him much since he has better things to do.

For instance, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, and more famous rock acts are yet to be recognized at the Rock and Roll of Fame. Meanwhile, Guns N' Roses immediately scored the honor during the group's first year of eligibility.

Other bands, including Black Sabbath and Metallica, waited for years before they were inducted.

Corey Taylor Criticizes Rock Hall

It was not the first time Taylor criticized the award-giving body.

In 2016, he shared his opinion about Gene Simmons' response to hip-hop acts and non-rock artists being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He noted that he had bigger problems with the Hall of Fame, saying that it had been disrespectful to rock artists on a whole other level.
