According to Global Citizen's CEO Hugh Evans, the summit is a big opportunity as some of the world's biggest leaders will gather to talk about projects that were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The organization is hoping that people who will be attending the summit encourage their peers to provide the $16.7 billion in outstanding climate financing that was first proposed in 2009 to help lower-income countries.
