Colbie Caillat Bio
Colbie Caillat was born on May 28, 1985 in Malibu, California. Caillat grew up in between Malibu and Ventura counties in California, with her father, Ken Caillat. Ken is a reputable audio engineer who assisted in producing Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors" and "Tusk." While she was younger, Colbie took piano and singing vocal lessons.
How Colbie Caillat Started Her Music Career
Caillat immediately transitioned from an upcoming R&B/folk singer to a pop one, when she was 21 years old. The singer relied on social media platform, My Space, to market her music at the time. Not too long afterwards, Caillat's debut single, "Bubbly" became a hit.
After Caillat began taking vocal lessons, it soon led to her meeting Mikal Blue. Blue is a producer who had worked with Five for Fighting and Carrie Underwood in the past. Songwriting expert, Jason Reeves, soon started working with Colbie's songwriting production. Blue, Reeves, and Caillat honed the music skills of the female singer to enhance her marketing appeal in the business, as per All Music.
After having been marketed heavily on My Space as an unsigned artist, and having been marketed her later debut single, "Bubbly" on the said social media platform, Colbie was signed on by Universal Republic records.
Colbie Caillat's Hits and Music Projects
In July 2007, Colbie's debut album, "Coco" was released. "Bubbly" is Caillat's debut single off this album. "Coco" eventually became a double-platinum album. Two more singles were released later on from "Coco." Caillat toured with John Mayer, and collaborated with Jason Mraz and Taylor Swift at this point in time. Colbie has released a total of seven studio albums, so far, since her debut.

Colbie Caillat recently added two more shows for her 2023 summer tour. She will be Carrie Underwood's supporting act for a performance in Mount Pleasant, MI on August 24, and Gavin DeGraw's supporting act for a September 13 New Albany, OH show, as per an announcement Caillat posted on her official Twitter account.
