BTS debuted in 2013, before eventually becoming internationally renowned a few years later-what is their secret and just how much has the KPOP supergroup achieved in a span of 10 years?

The South Korean boy group consists of seven members: their leader RM, followed by Suga, J-Hope, Jin, V, Jimin, and Jungkook.

For the past couple of months, fans have been grappling with BTS' hiatus, which was imposed to accommodate for some of the members leaving for their mandatory military enlistment.

For the next couple of years, BTS would not be releasing as much music as they had used to due to the hiatus; but fans are hopeful that more solo music careers will be launched during this timeframe.

10th Anniversary + Hiatus

Meanwhile, this is the first time that BTS is celebrating their anniversary without all seven members present, but that does not mean they have forgotten all about their fans.

According to reports, the KPOP group still wanted to celebrate the highly anticipated milestone-their 10th anniversary-in any way, shape, or form despite being incomplete and on a hiatus.

The group's label and entertainment company, BigHit Music announced that a "ARMY Rounge" will be set up at Yeouido in Seoul, by the Han River Park.

Reports say that the venue will showcase BTS' costumes, a sculpture, as well as other fan-related activities. To top it all off, RM will be attending the anniversary event in person.

International fans should not fret because the entire thing will be live-streamed via Weverse.

10 Milestones

As per BTS' fans-who are called ARMYs, the KPOP group has "paved the way" for other South Korean artists and groups by opening the gates and introducing international music enthusiasts to the genre.

According to reports, BTS has earned 65 "Daesang" awards. A "Daesang" is the highest award a South Korean act can receive and achieve in KPOP award shows.

Unsurprisingly, the group is also one of the most chart-topping KPOP artists, with several No. 1 on the Billboard music charts.

They even earned four awards at the Billboard Music Awards: top duo/group, top song sales artist, top selling song for "Dynamite", and top social artist.

At the American Music Awards, which have dominated year after year since 2018 as well as the MTV Video Music Awards, and other western and South Korean awarding bodies.

However, so far, a Grammy Award have been eluding BTS for three years now.

In 2021, they were nominated for best pop duo/group performance for "Dynamyite," the following year, they were nominated again under the same category for their song "Butter."

In 2021, BTS was nominated thrice: album of the year with "Music of the Spheres," best music video for "Yet to Come", and best pop duo/group performance for "My Universe" with Coldplay.
