Some of the artists attending the 2023 BET Awards have rightfully earned their nominations; after all, achieving unbelievable milestones is what made them the top dog of the pack.

As per the BET Awards website, this year's leading artist with seven nominees is none other than the chart-topping hit-maker, Drake.

Thanks to the Canadian rapper's highly anticipated album "Her Loss" with 21 Savage and several other releases, Drake sits comfortably at the top of this year's nominees list.

He was nominated for best male hop artist, best male R&B/pop artist, and best group alongside his collaborator and pal 21 Savage.

Drake was also nominated for best collaboration with Future and Tems for their song "Wait For U," best album for "Her Loss," viewer's choice award for "Jimmy Cooks" as well as "Wait For U."

GloRilla the Rising Star

GloRilla first started making waves in the rap game last year, and when she bagged breakthrough hip hop artist of the year, her mission was clear: she was going to make it big once again the following year.

That is why it comes as no surprise to her fans that GloRilla is once again returning to the BET Awards to collect her flowers. She leads the nominees list alongside Drake with six nominations under her belt.

The rapper was nominated for album of the year for "Anyways, Life's Great," best collaboration "Tomorrow 2" with Cardi B and "F.N.F. (Let's Go)" with Hitkidd, best video for "Tomorrow 2," best female hip hop artist, and finally best new artist.

GloRilla is a relatively new rapper in the scene, and despite her young age (23), she has proven time and time again that she is a rising star.

After giving up her dreams of becoming a singer, the Memphis native decided to try her luck at rapper-and it seems like it is working out for her.
