Nile Rodgers has been making music since the 1970s and he makes beats and rhythm all from scratch. Since modern technology is making waves in the industry today, many are curious about the legendary musician's opinion on artificial intelligence; does he approve of it?

The "Boogie All Night" hitmaker recently spoke with The Daily Star to express his true feelings about AI and surprisingly, he defended it from the public as it has been getting backlash for supposedly taking over jobs that are intended for humans.

Speaking about his thoughts regarding the matter, the famed producer, who previously worked with some of the biggest artists in the industry like Lady Gaga, Mick Jagger, Daft Punk, Madonna, and many more, said people have to "let the cards fall where they may." (via American Songwriter)

The reason behind it is that the public can't tell an artist to "paint with that color," but rather, they have to figure out what to do correctly and people will know which one is right or wrong.

Nile Rodgers Thinks AI is 'Wonderful'

"In a weird way I think it's a big deal out of nothing, but it may be something wonderful," he said of AI music.

"Just like at the Academy Awards there is animation and there is real-life, there's documentaries," he compared.

Elsewhere in the interview, he compared the vast spread of AI technology to the transition of instruments from classical to synthetic decades ago.

He talked about hearing people about using "fake stuff" when it comes to music, but for him, it sounds like "noise" that the public has been hearing throughout their lives.

"The drum machine and sequencer have been wonderful tools. There are bands that could never have had a record if it wasn't for a sequencer," he added.

The bigger picture in the conversation about artificial intelligence is compensation for songwriters or the people behind any track as he wanted those workers to get paid for their efforts.

AI is Taking Over the Music Industry

In other updates regarding AI, Paul McCartney confirmed in a recent interview with BBC Radio 4's "Today" that a final Beatles album will be released soon.

Fans are up for a treat as John Lennon's voice will be featured in the record and it's all possible because of artificial intelligence.

The musician explained that his team was able to extract the late member's voice and "get it pure through this AI" so they could mix it with the tracks like what they usually do.
