Talks about Tupac Shakur "still alive" reemerged after the late rapper received a star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Tupac Shakur's family, friends, and fans have been keeping his memory and legacy alive decades after his passing. Aside from several posthumous recognitions, his unreleased music also arrived over the past years, with his estate planning to drop more this year.

Despite the fact that the hip-hop icon already died in 1996, the conspiracy theory still suggests he is alive.

"Tupac Is Still Alive" Theory Explored

Over the past decades, multiple magazines and news outlets reported "sightings" during which people believed they just spotted the rapper after his apparent murder.

Capital Xtra listed 10 of the reported instances that "proved" Tupac Shakur is still alive, including a photo from the website Huzler featuring the late hip-hop artist and Beyoncé. BrodieBrazilCSN's Twitter page also received attention when it shared a copy of a photo of a man attending the March 2014 basketball game in the US who exactly looked like him. The same man wore a Tupac-style bandana that ignited the rumors even more.

The "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" hitmaker reportedly attended the 2014 BET Awards alongside Biggie, who died months after Tupac Shakur's murder.

Although these "sightings" only featured Tupac Shakur's lookalikes, Los Angeles filmmaker Rick Boss, who made "2Pac: The Great Escape From UMC," told ABC 13's KTNV that the "late rapper" prepared a body double in Suge Knight's BMW when he discovered about the plot to murder him.

He then reportedly escaped to the Navajo tribal in New Mexico via helicopter so federal agents could not follow him. Even Suge Knight's son believed that the rapper was still alive, posting a series of proofs on Instagram and suggesting he was in Malaysia until he changed his statement afterward.

Even Tupac's bodyguard claimed he helped him escape and fake his death before jetting to Cuba.

On the other hand, the film's actor who played the role of Tupac Shakur, Richard Garcia, firmly said the rapper was already gone, per Rolling Stone.

How Did Tupac Shakur Die?

Tupac Shakur died days after he suffered multiple gunshot wounds during a drive-by shooting following his and his entourage's fight with a man, who was later identified as a Crips street gang member.

Death Row Records head Marian "Suge" Knight was driving the car when a white Cadillac pulled up at a spotlight and opened fire at them, and one of the bullets grazed his head.
