An uncomfortable topic was brought to light during a recent Rolling Stone interview with actor and singer, Ben Platt.

The Tony award-winner took on leading roles for his latest project "Theater Camp" which was finally released to theaters on July 14.

Recently, Ben Platt sat down for a Rolling Stone interview and discussed his involvement in the 2022 New York Magazine Nepo baby cover. This cover featured various stars, including Ben who is the son of esteemed film producer, Marc Platt.

In reaction to the cover, Ben was quick to shut down the conversation on the topic.

He made it clear that he would prefer "going to skip right over that if we can" and move on.

The actor's representative suddenly attempted to steer the conversation toward 'Theater Camp.'

"If we could just focus on 'Theater Camp,' that would be great. Thank you."

Subsequently, when a few unrelated queries were asked by the Rolling Stone, said publicist interjected to conclude the dialogue that had only just begun.

Before they discussed the 2022 New York Magazine cover, which was unveiled back in December last year, the interviewer posed a question to Ben concerning his upbringing with "parents in the industry' and its influence on his own "career ambitions."

Ben responded, "I would say, in this film, it's more about that my siblings all did musical theater at The Adderley School. And so when I was old enough to go, I just really wanted to be like them, and I looked up to all of them."

Jonah Platt, the elder sibling of actor Ben, has likewise made a name for himself in the field of acting. He is known for projects such as "Being The Ricardos."

Ben recently mentioned that their parents had been immensely supportive and gave them the freedom to follow whatever path they wanted.

"The fact that I was in a family where we were listening to show tunes in the car, and all my siblings also love musical theater and we got to bond over it together, it was a cool thing and not like something to be ashamed of."

He added, "I think I owe a lot to that upbringing, and musical theater brought me to my potential husband. So I certainly owe a lot to the openness and the artistic kind of freedom that was in my household."
