Taylor Swift has reportedly "stalked" one person online after seeing her wear something remarkably uncanny.

Rebecca Smile, a Taylor Swift lookalike from Scotland, took to TikTok to tell the story of how the Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter had tracked her down online and asked to meet up.

This came about after one of Rebecca's followers asked whether she had ever seen the singer in person.

Taylor Swift's incredible act of kindness toward her fans is well known, and it was no different for Rebecca who had recreated the star's costume from the 2014 video for "Bad Blood."

Through her team, Taylor contacted the fan to arrange a meeting, having seen her homage to the singer on social media.

It all began when Rebecca shared a dramatic image on social media that appeared similar to one of Taylor's looks.

Seeing the post, Taylor reportedly reached out and eventually arranged for them to meet while Rebecca was wearing her replica ensemble.

It sounded like a fairytale come true when Rebecca's follower asked: "Has Taylor ever met you?? You're so gorgeous," and she proudly recounted their meeting.

Recounting her experience, she told the camera how it all began when Taylor discovered her on the internet and sent her team to get in contact.

"They said, 'Taylor really wants to meet you would you like to meet her?' And obviously I'm like 'Duh yeah' And here's the picture and she saw my Bad Blood costume that I'm wearing online and she absolutely loved it."

When Rebecca received the invitation from the "Lavender Haze" hitmaker, her jaw reportedly hit the floor. She described Taylor as very "kind and generous" which she said are rare qualities nowadays.

"Like every time I mention it I'm still shocked by it because it was just the nicest thing."

Rebecca was astonished when she found an old folder with screenshots of Taylor's Tumblr likes.

According to her, "It just shows that after we met she's still keeping up with me and like it's just the nicest thing, it's so nice."

Taylor posted a tweet that included her image to show the enthusiasm of European fans.

Accompanying the post was a message from Lily Aldridge and Gigi Hadid - who had both featured in Taylor's "Bad Blood" video - with snapshots demonstrating their eagerness.
