The 55-year-old "That's The Way It Is" singer revealed to fans that she was diagnosed with stiff person syndrome back in December 2022, and now Claudette Dion, 74, has updated them on the condition of her younger sister.

In an update to Celine's viewers on the Quebec television program Bonsoir Bonsoir, Claudette reportedly stated that her sister is "in a determined state of mind" despite the challenges brought on by the uncommon neurological condition, according to Journaldesfemmes.fr.

Uncontrollable muscle spasms brought on by stiff person syndrome can cause other medical issues, and Celine previously admitted it had an impact on her singing since she "cannot use my vocal cords to sing the way I am used to."

The "Because You Loved Me" singer revealed last month that her battles with the illness had forced her to postpone all of the remaining dates of her Courage World Tour. Fans expressed their disappointment in her for disappointing them in the comments area of her Instagram post, but they just expressed their desire for her to put her health first.

Claudette said of her sister's commitment to battle the illness is full of positivity. She said she knows Celine is working hard.

Jean-Philippe Wauthier, the show's host, agreed.

She said that they are all crossing our fingers, and she's happy that the world is concerned. Claudette added that she feels her sister will recover, because being ill should not be the star's story.

The musician is having trouble walking, according to a source who spoke to RadarOnline last month, and "experiences periods of intense pain that come out of nowhere."

However, the Canadian superstar "has the best medical team money can buy," an insider added to the pub, "but things aren't looking good." "Her disease is incurable," the source continued.

The "My Heart Will Go On" singer reportedly sold her $30 million Las Vegas property in order to return to Canada and be with her family during this trying time. According to a source who spoke with Radar, "Celine has 11 brothers and sisters living in Canada. It's an amazing, loving support system for her during a time of personal crisis."
