Rapper G Herbo is due to serve behind bars as he recently took a plea deal for the crimes that he was accused of.

The 27-year-old Chicago native pleaded guilty to wire fraud among many others after being indicted in Massachusetts in 2020.

G Herbo Pleaded Guilty

According to Rolling Stone, G Herbo was accused of using "stolen identities." He racked up to $1.5 million in fraud.

The Chicago Tribune noted that he was charged with "private jet incursions, a villa trip to Jamaica, and even purchasing designer puppies.

However, everything is not cast in stone yet as the plea deal has to be approved by a judge first. Initially, he is set to stay in jail for 20 years, but recently obtained court documents says that he is "likely" to get a lower sentence "with a potential term of probation."

"Wright used the proceeds of these frauds to travel to various concert venues and to advance his career by posting photographs and/or videos of himself on the private jets, in the exotic cars, and at the Jamaican villa," the plea agreement said. "In addition, Wright helped Strong obtain designer puppies from a business by falsely representing to the business that Wright was the actual purchaser of the puppies and by concealing Strong's actual identity from the business."

Per XXL Magazine, the said plea says that aside from spending five years behind bars, G Herbo's sentence says that he has to a $250,000 fine, a mandatory special assessment of $100; restitution; and forfeiture to the extent charged in the agreement.
