Melanie Martinez and her ex-boyfriend Oliver Tree might have broken up, but the musician still has love and respect for her former partner as she pleaded with the public to not bully him after he received negative comments online.

The "Portals" hitmaker took to her Instagram stories to share a photo of what appeared to be mosaic tiles and a text which talked about her request for her fans.

"Can you guys do me a favor and leave @olivertree alone. Please be nice, and stop spreading false information," she wrote.

The musician added that she already told the public that she and her ex ended things mutually a long time ago and both of them are on good terms.

"I've said before how much it upsets me when you guys bully people on the internet," she added. (via PopCrave)

Martinez concluded her post with wisdom for her fans, saying they should stay positive and kind to each other.
