"High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" Season 4 just dropped on Disney+ and after 5 years, the series finally capped off the best way possible.
The final season featured the biggest reunion the original HSM cast could possibly have.
OGs Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Kaycee Stroh, Alyson Reed, Bart Johnson, and Lucas Grabeel performed as themselves and their film characters in the new season.
While the main leads Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez, played by Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, weren't on the show - the question "What Happened to Troy and Gabriella?" has finally been answered.
What Happened to Troy and Gabriella on HSM?
For context, in the HSMTMTS Universe, the "High School Musical" franchise existed as the characters of the series go to school at the very school where the original movie franchise was shot.
In the series, a fictional "High School Musical 4" is happening and will film, featuring the series characters. In a clip where Corbin Bleu was explaining the premise of the "High School Musical 4: The Reunion," he also touched upon the fate of the beloved characters of the film franchise. "It is our 15-year high school reunion," he revealed. "My character Chad is married to Taylor. Martha is a world-class choreographer. Ryan is happily partnered."
But to answer the burning question of "What Happened to Troy and Gabriella?" Bleu revealed that the two are in couple's therapy.
That was by far the only mention of the lead cast throughout the series, aside from the one when Bart Johnson's character asked Kaycee Stroh where they were.
HSMTMTS Season 4 Finale
"HSMTMTS" finally takes its curtain call as the series finally ended after four seasons. It helped catapult the career of now Grammy-winning singer Olivia Rodrigo and Tony-nominated actress Julia Lester, among many others.

Sofia Wylie, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Dara Renee, Frankie Rodriguez, Julia Lester, Joe Serafini, Adrian Lyles, Saylor Bell, Liamani Segura, Larry Saperstein, Kate Reinders, and Andrew Barth Feldman reprised their roles on the last season of the show.
