Ariana Grande will have to start making new friends as her existing ones are reportedly headed for the door after her boyfriend Ethan Slater's ex-wife publicly chastised her.

The Life & Style source remarks on the dire situation the "Thank U Next" singer has found herself in: "Ariana didn't just break girl code. She shattered it into a million pieces and that's going to be tough to bounce back from."

Ariana, 30, is reportedly adamant that she and Ethan, 31, only explored their feelings after both of them were no longer married. Still, an insider described the situation to be one of caution - a warning to "lock up your husband" when the former Nickelodeon star is around.

After reports of Ariana and Ethan dating last month, a pervasive feeling arose that those around her had to be cautious. This was especially true considering it surfaced only three days after Ariana's split from her partner Dalton Gomez.

"There's a very real sense of 'lock up your husband' when it comes to being around [Ariana] now," remarked one source.

Ethan and Lilly Jay tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed a child four years later in 2022.

No one knew when Ethan and his wife separated, as the last time he talked about her was on a Mother's Day post.

After just a few days, several outlets reported that Ethan had officially filed for divorce from Lilly. The documents showed that, on July 26th, Ethan submitted paperwork for a contested divorce, though he did not specify the reason behind the split after five years of marriage.

In response to the filing, Lilly clarified that Ariana was the real issue in an interview with Page Six, saying, "Not a girl's girl. My family is merely collateral damage." She then explained her focus on being a strong mother for her child with Ethan.

January saw the demise of Ariana's marriage to Dalton, 28. At this time, the "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" artist had been overseas in London shooting a Wicked movie - with her partner in California, they could no longer adapt to their great distance.

Initially, in January, Ariana and Dalton tried to make their marriage work again.

Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, and soon, the couple decided that separation would be for the best.

A confidant has revealed to the outlet that Ariana and Dalton did everything they could to keep the relationship afloat. Despite their best efforts, however, it seemed like it would never last. They attempted therapy; however, after much deliberation, they both concluded that prolonging an inevitable outcome was unnecessary.
