Alice Cooper revealed his thoughts on transgender children as well as gender-affirming procedures for minors, and it did not end well for him.

"I'm understanding that there are cases of transgender, but I'm afraid that it's also a fad, and I'm afraid there's a lot of people claiming to be this just because they want to be that," the singer told Stereogum.

"I find it wrong when you've got a six-year-old kid who has no idea. He just wants to play, and you're confusing him telling him, 'Yeah, you're a boy, but you could be a girl if you want to be.'

"I mean, if you identify as a tree ... I'm going, 'Come on! What are we in, a Kurt Vonnegut novel?' It's so absurd, that it's gone now to the point of absurdity."

Cooper's controversial take on transgenders immediately reached the ears of his collaborators, Vampyre Cosmetics. The company is owned by a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and was not thrilled to hear the singer's opinion.

Alice Cooper Dropped by Vampyre Cosmetics

According to reports, Cooper lost his cosmetics deal with the company shortly after the interview was released to the public.

"In light of recent statements by Alice Cooper we will no longer be doing a makeup collaboration. We stand with all members of the LGBTQIA+ community and believe everyone should have access to healthcare," Vampyre Cosmetics' statement read.

They were supposed to carry the singer's "The Alice Cooper Collection," which includes several makeup palettes and lip products that are Alice Cooper-approved.

Alice Cooper Fans Go After Vampyre Cosmetics

Much like everyone on the Internet right now, Cooper is being taught a lesson about harmful propaganda, and Vampyre Cosmetics has made it clear that it is not okay for him to go on with this ideology.

"We believe gender is a construct and has no place in our business. We refuse to gender our products because they are for everyone," the "proudly women-owned, disabled-owned, and LGBT+ owned" company wrote.

However, several of Cooper's fans have gone after the company and condemned them for abruptly dropping the singer and canceling his makeup collection.

"Vampyre Cosmetics stands against free speech," a fan wrote.

"Hope Vampyre Cosmetics fails."

"Not sure how it's problematic to care about the well-being of children and saying something isn't how it's always been social. he's also gender non-conforming but it's also a new thing to completely cancel collaborations because of people speaking. this will create censorship," another added.
