With her latest hit, "Tension," Kylie Minogue is onto something new and successful.
With the edgy electro single already topping numerous iTunes charts, it appears that it will achieve the same level of popularity as her most recent mega hit, "Padam Padam."
"Tension" has topped iTunes in the UK, Australia, and Mexico since its release on Thursday.
It has even cracked the US top twenty. The song "Tension" has already sparked controversy because some fans believe it contains a jab at Kylie Jenner.
In the past, Minogue and Jenner fought over who owned the trademark to the name "Kylie," and in multiple lines of "Tension," Minogue mocks her copycats.
"Call me Kylie-lie-lie / Don't imita-ta-tate,' she sings. 'I'm a star babe-babe-babe / Do this all day-day-day."
Currently, Kylie is experiencing a career comeback not seen since the days of "Can't Get You Out of My Head."
"Padam Padam," her comeback single, peaked at number 10 in the UK and twenty in Australia. Additionally, it gained millions of views and generated amusing memes on TikTok after going viral there.
The well-liked singer thanked fans on social media for their support when she announced her chart return in June.
"It has been an incredible week topped off by being my birthday today and I can't thank you enough. My heart is bursting with joy so thank you so so much," she gushed.
"What an incredible, another wild turn in my life and my career. Thank you so much for all of your love and support, everyone who has got onto Padam Padam and made this possible for me. I love you, thank you so so much."

"Tension," Kylie's sixteenth studio album, will be available on September 22.
