Calling all those who purchased tickets for this year's Blue Ridge Rock Festival. The event will not push through anymore despite them selling out all of their passes for Saturday and Sunday; what happened with the music festival?

In a statement released on social media, organizers for the event wrote "we understand the disappointment this brings, and we share immensely in your sadness," confirming that the show will not be happening anymore.

Rolling Stone reported that the event was initially scheduled to be held in Virginia along with star-studded headliners like Pantera, Megadeth, Slipknot, and many more.

The reason why the music festival was canceled was due to severe weather around the area. The weekend shows might have been canceled but they were able to go with their Thursday and Friday shows last week.

However, there have been issues since its opening night as heavy rain, hail, lightning storms, and strong winds invaded the venue.
