Ozzy Osbourne detailed the injury that made him quit touring.

The Black Sabbath rocker announced on X, formerly Twitter, that he made one of the hardest decisions ever when he agreed to end his touring days because of the multiple health issues he has. But because of his love and passion, he started working on himself to prepare for a comeback stage - which has yet to happen.

Why Ozzy Osbourne Quit Touring

In the new episode of "The Osbournes Podcast," he shared more details about his decision to quit touring in 2019 and the exact injury he sustained.

According to Osbourne, the issue started after going to the bathroom one night and missing the bed and he fell flat on the ground.

"I went smack on the floor, face down," he said. "Sharon [Osbourne] said, 'What are you doing down there?' I said, 'Call us an ambulance.' She said, 'Are you joking?' I said, 'I think I've broken my fucking neck.'"

Although he was not feeling any pain at that time, he knew something was wrong with him.

Soon after seeking medical attention, they found out that the fall caused his pins to become out of their alignment after they were first installed following a motorbike accident. He immediately underwent a surgery to prevent a potential paralysis from the neck down.

Per Sharon, Ozzy has been called "Iron Man" because of the metals in his body.

Ozzy Osbourne Does Not Want To Perform While Sitting

Prior to the update, he shared that he could perform as usual because his voice and head are still the same. However, he has mobility issues that would prevent him from moving around the stage.

His daughter Kelly told Rolling Stone that the rocker could perform anytime he wanted if he sat in a chair, but Sharon noted that he would not like to do his shows that way.

Previously, Osbourne reportedly underwent a procedure to remove a blood clot filter - which was installed to prevent blood clots from going to his heart and brain - from one of his arteries. The procedure affected his schedule and caused him to pull himself from the Power Trip Festival lineup.
