Doro Pesch confirmed details of her upcoming studio album and her "Total Eclipse of the Heart" cover with Rob Halford.
The German metal queen has been hyping fans ahead of the release of her "Conqueress - Forever Strong And Proud" album. She previously dropped the first single from the album, "Time For Justice," and a video in a "Mad Max" style.
Before the official arrival of the new material, Pesch gave hints on what her collaborative cover with Halford sounded like.
"Total Eclipse of the Heart" Cover Release Date Confirmed
In her appearance on SiriusXM's "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" on Tuesday, September 12, Pesch revealed that she worked with the Judas Priest singer in the two tracks - "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Living After Midnight" in her upcoming album.
She revealed that her album contains three duets - and two of which were with Halford.
"Rob Halford said, 'I have the song I always wanted to do with you. It's 'Total Eclipse Of The Heart'.' And that came out so great," Pesch said. "When you hear it, you can tell Rob loves the song and I'm so happy. Even two duets, man. That's more than I can ask for. I'm a lucky baby, I tell you."
The host asked her if "Total Eclipse of the Heart" would serve as a bonus track of her album since it did not appear in the LP's track listing. Per Pesch, it is an original part of the record, but she was only able to finish it a couple of weeks ago.
She also hinted at a new video for the cover, confirming that it would be released alongside the cover on October 27 - her "Conqueress - Forever Strong And Proud" album's release date, as well.
