Based on the list from the Latin Recording Academy, Mexican sensation Edgar Barrera leads the entire pack of nominees with a staggering 13 nominations. Needless to say, Mexico's flag was raised the highest at the nomination aspect. Although many were shocked to see Peso Pluma, despite being one of the most promising Mexican artists of the year, being snubbed by the Latin Grammy Awards.

Meanwhile, Colombian powerhouses Shakira and Karol G are tied with seven nominations on their belt. Their VMA-winning collaboration, "TQG," has been nominated three times - Song of the Year, Best Urban Song, and Best Urban/Fusion Performance.
