Billie Eilish rose to fame at a very young age and she had to grapple with popularity amongst many other artists in the industry when she was still a teenager. Now, the musician is giving back and sharing her piece of advice to women as well as aspiring artists.

The singer recently appeared on the cover of Allure Magazine where she shared a few words, saying she has to give credit to the person she's always been as she was carefree and "didn't give a f*** at all."

"Between being a 14-year-old girl, and Finneas being a 17-year-old boy, and us making these little songs - we had to be very clear we weren't going to just do what anybody said," she said.

The "What Was I Made For" hitmaker added that other people might have done a lot of crazy things but she didn't let them and it took her years to convince the public that she was going to do what she knew was right for her.

She later assured other people that it's okay to not have any plans at all, as she noted,
"people should know - women should know - you don't have to be exceptional... You can just be a person, and you should get awards for just being. Sometimes artists don't have plans, and that's fine, but I did, and I wasn't going to waste them." (via Billboard)

Billie Eilish Opens Up About Popularity

Elsewhere in the conversation, the singer noted that she's thankful because people recognize her music on a global scale, but it comes with the pressure of being popular and it's something that she's still working on today.

She noted that she's "starting to do better" but there were times when things were not going great.

Eilish later said that when she thinks about it all the time, she could never have privacy again and it's enough to make her do a lot of crazy things so she has to let it go.
