New videos taken at the Tribe of Nova music festival showed the attendees' last moments before Palestinian militants opened fire and left at least 260 people dead.
On Friday, October 6, the Tribe of Nova music festival started at around 10 p.m. in Kibbutz Re'im, hours after Israel marked its week-long Sukkot religious event. The all-music festival, which was attended by young people who wanted to dance and have fun, turned into a massacre scene after a deadly attack on Saturday, October 7.
Tribe of Nova Music Festival Massacre: Israeli Event Videos Show Last Moments Before Attack
Videos taken from the festival moments before the killing showed the innocent attendees enjoying the moment. Israeli officials said at least 260 bodies were seen and recorded near the site after Hamas militants entered the country from the Gaza Strip.
Gunmen also took hostages and left many others wounded.
Among the clips included one showing an attendee named Shani Louk dancing with her friends and smiling innocently before the horrifying attack. She was one of the people who were held hostage by Hamas terrorists and was soon murdered.
The militants paraded her naked body in the back of a pickup truck.
Her mother, Ricarda, broke her silence and asked everyone for information after seeing the gruesome video of the killing. She revealed that her daughter attended the music festival with a group of tourists.
"She was going to her car and they had military people standing by the cars and were shooting so people couldn't reach their cars, even to go away," she told CNN. "And that's when they took her."
Ricarda expressed her hopes to see her daughter again and wished Shani was still alive somewhere.
CNN also obtained and verified a dashcam video that captured militants attacking the attendees and pointing machine guns while a man took cover beside a car. Another clip showed another individual lying on the ground before moving; a shooter aimed and fired a shot at the person who stopped moving afterward.
One video featuring Israeli woman Noa Argamani and her boyfriend Avinatan Or showed them being kidnapped.
The total number of casualties is yet to be confirmed, but the list of foreign nationals kidnapped is still growing.
