Things haven't been going so well for Britney Spears.

Just last month, the star was reportedly pulled over while driving in Ventura County, California, by a CHP officer and issued two tickets. The first was for failing to have her license on her person, and the second was for lacking proof of insurance.

According to information provided by law enforcement sources to Page Six, the 41-year-old singer was stopped for speeding in her white Mercedes. They reported that she had been traveling 60 miles per hour in a designated 40 miles per hour zone.

In court documents confirmed by the outlet, Britney had a charge filed against her for lacking an up-to-date driver's license and another for not providing law enforcement with proof of insurance.

Mathew Rosengart, the pop star's lawyer, spoke to the outlet and said, "Let me be clear-Britney always had a license and insurance paperwork in order.

Another reliable source has confirmed that the "Baby One More Time" performer is fully covered with insurance and the necessary license.

Court documents have revealed that Britney is slated to appear in court on October 24, the very same day as her eagerly-awaited autobiography, "The Woman In Me", is scheduled to launch.

Just a few months before Britney Spears' conservatorship ended in the fall of 2021, she regained the right to operate her vehicle independently.

This news came amidst much debate regarding the termination of the conservatorship.

Meanwhile, after a tumultuous few months, Britney is now dealing with another issue worrying her fans.

In August, Sam Asghari filed for divorce, and recently, she was spotted dancing around her house with knives.

Later that day, law enforcement officers were dispatched to her residence to ascertain her well-being - much to her displeasure.

"Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on, America ... we cooler than that, right ???"

This year, Britney also found a way to reconcile with her mother, Lynne Spears, 13 years after her father, Jamie Spears, put her under a conservatorship. Her feelings on this situation were expressed by comparing authority figures to her mother.

"Don't talk about it, come on, let's DO !!! My mom does the silent treatment when paps ask questions about her daughter as if I'm in the wrong."

"Nope, it's an old game. People need to be responsible for their actions! It's about power for cops," the "Piece of Me" singer went on to add.
