According to iHeart, the legendary rock band will drop their new album on October 20, 2023. As a special treat for their loyal supporters, they will throw a special launch that fans everywhere could join even though they're far away from each other.
The group will be having a show under iHeartRadio ICONS called "The Rolling Stones: Celebrating the Release of Hackney Diamonds."
For those who want to tune in, the radio show will feature members Mick Jagger and Keith Richards along with iHeartRadio host Jim Kerr.
Fans should expect the duo to share their thoughts about the new album as well as detail the process of how they came up with the tracks and their collaborators.
"The Rolling Stones: Celebrating the Release of Hackney Diamonds" will be available for listening on October 20, 2023, at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT via the Classic Rock Channel by iHeartRadio.
The Rolling Stones 'Hackney Diamonds'
The band's latest project "Hackney Diamonds" is their first release in over 18 years, this would also mark another chapter in the band's career as it will be their first project following the death of their beloved member, Charlie Watts.
Prior to this, the band's previous album was "A Bigger band" released in 2005.
Even though the group dropped several musical projects over the past years like their "Blue & Lonesome" project in 2016, what sets apart the new release is that it will have a total of 12 new tracks as well as major collaborations with some of the most iconic artists in the industry.
Some musicians in the lineup include Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Paul McCartney.
The Rolling Stones 'Sweet Sounds of Heaven' Featuring Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder
The Rolling Stones already released the second single off the album titled "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" ahead of the record's release.
This song features vocals from Lady Gaga and an instrumental rendition of famed musician Stevie Wonder.
In an Instagram post, the mega pop superstar revealed that the collaboration came as a surprise to her as she was in the same building, the Henson Studios, in Los Angeles, California, when someone approached her that Mick Jagger wanted to meet.
She later entered their recording studio and was surprised that the frontman wanted her to join and sing the new song.
