Demi Lovato is set to pull double-duty on big-name television programs this Fall according to rumors. Reports indicate that the pop star has signed on for at least six episodes of "Glee" to go along with her judging responsibilities on "The X Factor," another Fox program.

E! News' source remained unnamed, but gave some pretty concrete details regarding the "Glee" news. Lovato will play a "struggling artist in New York" named Dani, who "befriends Rachel and Santana," the characters of Lea Michele and Naya Rivera respectively. She's also rumored to be doing a few musical numbers with a confirmed "Glee" guest star, Adam Lambert.

The first episode starring Lovato, again according to the source, will be the season opening Beatles-tribute episode, the last starring deceased star Cory Monteith. Whether that star's character will correlate with the leaving of Monteith's character Finn remains unknown. Technically, everything remains unknown because Lovato's representatives haven't actually confirmed any of this.

"We don't have any news to share at the moment," was their exact quote. Lovato is definitely locked in for "The X Factor" however, and the source indicated that her "Glee" appearances were filmed in order to best fit her "X Factor" schedule.

A promo was recently released for the upcoming season, "Glee's" fifth. It featured mainly highlights from Season 4, but none of the clips featured Monteith. How Finn is going to be released from the show remains to be seen, but writer Ryan Murphy recently announced that it would not involve a drug overdose.
