When Lee Brice sat down with CMT News earlier this week to chat, he talked about a real sore spot with him ... when someone tells a lie about him.

Apparently, after one of his shows with Luke Bryan in Indianapolis, an accountant tweeted that Lee's performance was bad because he was drunk. Lee caught wind of it and responded in a big way on Twitter. In a set of tweets, he said, "I had one drink. I take my job seriously. Sorry if you got the wrong impression. Give me your address, I'll send your money back. I do the best I can every night. You hop up in front of 20,000 and tell me how easy it is. Have a good night. Be safe."

While Brice doesn't like it when people complain on social media about his shows (he is, after all, a professional and he wants people to get their money's worth when they come to a concert), he's ok with it unless they lie.

Sadly, in this day of social media, all it takes is one person tweeting something negative and others will jump on the bandwagon. In the past month, a handful of people have tweeted that Lee was drunk on stage ...

  • One fan tweeted "lee brice was drunk af but still kicked a**"
  • Another tweeted "Pretty sure Lee Brice was very drunk, but he was quite entertaining"
  • A third said "Lee Brice is drunk as f*ck right now"
  • Then came "Lee Brice needs to either move on from country or stop performing drunk.. #horrid #stopscreaming #WTF"
  • Followed by "Lol Lee Brice is sooo drunk"

Where there is smoke, there's fire? Not always! If you add up how many people have attended Lee Brice's concerts in the past month, if he were drunk on stage, wouldn't you think that more than five people would have noticed? In just the past 24 hours, there have been nearly 50 tweets about what a great show Lee puts on! That's 10 to 1, one day versus one month. Do the math and you'll probably see a different story.
