In Sofia Coppola's "Priscilla," Cailee Spaen portrays the role of Priscilla Beaulieu, a young teen who is captivated by the celebrity allure of Elvis Presley, played by Jacob Elordi.

The story follows as he attempts to remake her into his own "living doll."

The world will be graced with the new film on Friday which is already garnering positive reviews from critics.

Though there have been no official comments, Page Six reports that Elvis Presley's family is not pleased with Sofia Coppola's newly-released film.

It appears this tension between the late daughter of Elvis, Lisa Marie Presley, and the director had been growing before her mother's death in January.

Gross misrepresentation seems to result from the casting for this movie: Elordi stands 6'5″, a full 5 inches taller than the real Elvis, making their size difference feel like a jab at the star and Priscilla's relationship.

Unhappiness is among Presley camp as Cailee only stands at 5'1".

"The intent was surely to make them feel more different," reveals an Elvis estate source. "It appears that somebody wanted to amplify their differences through this casting choice."

But it seems that Lisa Marie Presley is unhappy with the script of "Priscilla," as the movie centered around her mother when she was only 14 years old meeting Elvis.

The source said, "Elvis did nothing not within the nature of what Priscilla's parents were okay with."

But this material has caused distress in the Presley family.

According to an Elvis source who has seen the movie, it was "horrible."

In their opinion, the script and quality were cause for concern, and they felt Priscilla had been taken advantage of. Additionally, a second insider who is familiar with how much disapproval there was from Lisa stated: "She didn't like the script."

Before reading the script, it was clear that Lisa Marie wasn't exactly in a happy state of mind. However, any suggestion of Priscilla being manipulated was dismissed by the source as totally absurd.

No one would expect such a gentle essence from the film's director, but that's what many sources have said about her.

"Sophia is the most gentle soul; no one could ever believe this," a source explained.

This contradictory image of kindness coupled with creative genius make for an exciting combination when it comes to understanding her films, "And certainly no one who has ever seen her movies or knows her as a filmmaker," they added.

Evidence of the strains between Priscilla and her daughter is thought to be revealed by her decision to conceal her involvement with the movie from her daughter's knowledge.

Upon learning of her mother's plans to sign on as a producer, Lisa reportedly requested that she not do so. Furthermore, the Elvis estate denied Coppola permission to utilize any of his music in the project.
