A few weeks ago, fans at the We Came as Romans concert were shocked as the band canceled their show at the last minute due to security issues. More recently, the show's venue finally spoke out about the matter and addressed the allegations against their security staff.

To give a background, the band was set to perform at the Fete Music Hall in Providence, Rhode Island, earlier this month but right after their supporting act Bodysnatcher performed, the group revealed they were not moving forward with their show.

The reason why they decided to cancel the concert was because there were attendees who were allegedly dragged out of the venue "wrongfully & aggressively."

"The security team did not respond well, & the situation escalated further, even to the point of spitting in our crew's faces, spitting on gear, threatening physical violence & someone having to be physically restrained," the band further alleged. (via We Came as Romans official X account)

They later expressed their disappointment as they were not able to perform in front of their fans who have been waiting for them to play their hit tracks.

"all parties agreed that the best move was to cancel the show," they added.

Fete Music Hall Breaks Silence

More recently, the venue, Fete Music Hall, decided to address the matter a few weeks after the incident.

According to their statement, the management said they don't feel what was being presented on social media was the fair representation of what truly happened that evening. (via Loudwire)

They began by apologizing to all the attendees who spent money on tickets, saying they're sorry that the evening was cut short.

In addition, they also took the opportunity to apologize to all the performers who were supposed to play songs that night.

The venue then noted that the first half of the show went on smoothly and no fans were removed from the venue, but during Bodysnatcher's set, there was one fan who received multiple warnings throughout the night had an altercation with another guest.

They then decided to remove the said fan from the venue as the person already had five warnings.

Instead of the touring crew allow the security staff to handle the situation, the management said they "inserted themselves into the situation."

The situation further escelated and angered fans as Bodysnatcher yelled "F*** Security, we are done here."

"Members of our Security and members of the touring party became involved in a heated argument. A few minutes later Fête was advised that We Came As Romans And Emmure were not going to go onstage and the show was effectively over," they added.

The management is now investigating all accusations and concerns regarding what happened that evening.
