Louis Tomlinson Calls Out Decades-Old Fan Theory: Why Won't 'Larry' Rumors Die Down?

Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles were both members of the British-Irish boy group, One Direction, and aside from their professional relationship, fans theorize that the two singers have something romantic going on behind the scenes.

These rumors have been going on since the group's inception in 2010, and their ship name is "Larry Stylinson," which is the combination of both their names. Fans of the ship call themselves "Larries."

However, even after One Direction's hiatus in 2016, Larries still believe that Tomlinson and Styles have a secret relationship and that their public relationships are just PR.

Here is what the "Written All Over Your Face" singer had to say about that: "You start by realizing all these ridiculous childish theories and conspiracies are wasted time and energy and then just throw the chicken in the oven to be fair. Simple stuff."

According to reports, that is how Tomlinson responded to a fan asking him how he makes chicken parmesan.

This is not the first time either one of the singers has responded to the relationship rumors, and it seems like it would not be the last.

Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles Deny Secret Relationship

According to reports, in 2012, Styles replied to a fan, dismissing "Larry": "Hows this, Larry is the biggest load of bulls**t I've ever heard. I'm happy why can't you accept that. [sic]"

Fellow One Direction alum, Zayn Malik, also spoke about the rumors, defending the pair: "It's not funny, and it still continues to be quite hard for them.

"They won't naturally go put their arm around each other because they're conscious of this thing that's going on, which is not even true.

"There's no secret relationships going on with any of the band members."

Louis Tomlinson 'Disrespected' With 'Larry Stylinson' Rumors

Tomlinson also clarified his sexuality once before, noting that he is "straight," and that he along with his girlfriend are always subjected to the rumors.

"It's a funny thing. People can believe what they want to believe, but I just think it comes across some times as a little bit disrespectful, to the ones that I love, like [my current girlfriend] Eleanor."

While the pair have repeatedly denied a secret relationship, fans are still adamant that there is something going on and that the rumors have not died even after 13 years.
