The Weeknd announced the postponement of his "After Hours til Dawn" tour in Australia and New Zealand which was supposed to happen in two weeks without much of an explanation.

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, we must reschedule the Australia/New Zealand tour," read the singer's statement.

"New dates will be announced next year and current tickets will be valid for the new shows. Refunds will be available for those unable to attend the new dates. Deeply disappointed but can't wait to be there with you!"

The Weeknd Didn't Sell Out?

The announcement was met with mixed reactions from the netizens, with some alleging that The Weeknd's concerts in the two countries simply did not sell out hence the postponement.

"Because no one is buying his tickets anymore," a netizen wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

"Unforeseen Circumstances or Tickets not sold? LMFAOOO."

Meanwhile, some fans think that there must have been some kind of health-related concert that caused the rescheduling of the tour.

"Is he burnt out? Dude needs a break I am sure!" A fan wrote.

"I just hope he's okay," another added."

"The good thing is that rescheduling can allow him to rest a little more... Other artists planned for [Australia] are in the same situation so, don't worry XO, I'm sure Abel is fine."

Live Nation reassured fans that the postponement will be settled: "We understand fans will be disappointed, and Live Nation is focused on working with The Weeknd to secure a new tour schedule. We will make a further announcement as soon as possible."

The Weeknd's 'After Hours Til Dawn' Tour

While many suggested that The Weeknd is struggling to sell out his concerts, his recent show in London suggests otherwise.

According to reports, the "Blinding Lights" singer broke several records with his concert in London, including the number of ticket sales at Wembley Stadium and having the highest attendance rate during his back-to-back London Stadium concerts.

So it is highly unlikely that The Weeknd would push back his highly anticipated concerts because of a lack of ticket sales, especially since he is one of the most prominent singers in this generation.

He also happened to be ranked the No. 1 artist on Spotify for months on end, leaving Taylor Swift on the wayside, despite raking in millions of streams from her albums and re-recordings.
