In Hollywood, second marriages are very common as divorces happen very frequently among celebrities.
In the case of Priscilla Presley, the ex-wife of the late Elvis Presley, she vowed to herself that she would never remarry after the death of the King of Rock and Roll.
Real Reason Why Priscilla Presley Never Remarried After Elvis Presley's Death
During a Question and Answer event in Las Vegas recently, Priscilla Presley opened up about her love for the late King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. (via People Magazine)
When asked why she never remarried after Elvis, she had this to say:
"I just don't think that he could handle that," she said of her marriage. "To be honest with you, I never wanted to marry after him. I never had any desire. No one could ever match him."
At 14, Priscilla Presley met then-24-year-old Elvis at a party at his home in Bad Nauheim, Germany, which he had rented during his military service.
Detailing more of his relationship with Elvis, she explained in her memoir, "Elvis and Me", that their relationship had been sexual but they never had penetrative sex until their marriage when she was 21 and Elvis was 31. (via TODAY)
"We had a strong connection, much of it sexual. The two of us created some exciting and wild times," she recalled doing.
Two years later, she gave birth to Lisa Marie Presley, their only child. When pressed further why they didn't have another child after Lisa Priscilla explained that Elvis' schedule got in the way of a bigger family.
"With his scheduling and his touring, he just felt he wasn't around enough to give a lot of attention to having another child," Priscilla explained.

Was Priscilla Presley Taken Advantage Of By Elvis Presley?
Given their 10-year-age gap, many people have raised eyebrows at the rather predatory nature of their relationship.
However, Priscilla Presley explained multiple times that this was never the case.
"It was very difficult for my parents to understand that Elvis would be so interested in me and why," she explained to Variety. "And I really do think because I was more of a listener. Elvis would pour his heart out to me in every way in Germany: his fears, his hopes, the loss of his mother - which he never, ever got over. And I was the person who really, really sat there to listen and to comfort him. That was really our connection. Even though I was 14, I was actually a little bit older in life - not in numbers. That was the attraction. People think, 'Oh, it was sex.' No, it wasn't. I never had sex with him. He was very kind, very soft, very loving, but he also respected the fact I was only 14 years old. We were more in line in thought, and that was our relationship."
Although she never remarried, Priscilla Presley had a partner, Marco Garibaldi, the father of her son, Navarone Garibaldi. They separated in 2006.
