On Saturday, Nov. 11, Britney Spears posted a cute image and tale about Taylor Swift's past on Instagram.

Spears shared a picture of Swift and Spears from back in 2003, when Swift would have just been 13 or 14 years old.

Five years later, at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008, she shared another photo of the two of them.

"This is way back when but kinda cool ... During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door," Spears wrote in a message on Instagram.

"My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, 'I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.' I was like of course !!!"

She continued, "He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar. I was like wow wow she's unbelievable !!! We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation."

After paying the compliment to Swift, Spears had more to say: "Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day. She's stunning !!! Girl crush."

Swift's most recent re-recording, 1989 (Taylor's Version), debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart. "Is It Over Now?" from the vault made its debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

Britney Spears can obviously recognize talent when she sees it.

Swift, one of the biggest pop artists of today, started off playing small venues in Tennessee before going on international tours and packing stadiums full of Swifties, her devoted admirers.

At the age of fourteen, she was signed to a record deal by Scott Borchetta's Big Machine Records thanks to an outstanding performance at Nashville's The Bluebird Café.

She began her career as a country music performer, and the name of her debut song, "Tim McGraw," was inspired by one of the biggest names in the genre.

Swift composed the song in her first year math class in 2006, and it swiftly shot to the top of Billboard's country chart, catapulting her into the public eye.

Swift was even invited to open for McGraw and fellow country music artist Faith Hill on their Soul2Soul tour the following year.

Years later, McGraw told ET Canada that Swift has a unique gift.

Swift soon started to get critical acclaim for her efforts. In 2007, the youngster took home the Horizon Award from the Country Music Association (CMA) and the Top New Female Vocalist Award from the Academy of Country Music (ACM).

She received a Grammy nomination the following year for Best New Artist. With Fearless, her album from 2010, she became the youngest artist to win the Grammy for Album of the Year.
