At the 2023 Latin Grammy Awards, Mexican composer Agustín Lara's song "Granada" was honored by the Latin Recording Academy for bridging musical boundaries when Andrea Bocelli sang it on stage while clad in a golden suit.

Two performers danced to Bocelli's version of the famous 1932 song as the vocalist performed it backed by a string quartet.

Following Bocelli's performance, a standing ovation was given by everyone in the room.

The global record sales figure for Italian classical and opera music is in the above 75 million mark.

His popular LPs have been recorded in Italian, Spanish, and English by Bocelli. Bocelli has been nominated for five Grammy Awards and five Latin Grammy Awards during his illustrious career.

He and fellow Italian singer Laura Pausini were nominated for Record of the Year at the 2008 Latin Grammy Awards for their song "Vive Ya!"
