It appears as though Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin, who have now been married for almost five years, are considering the possibility of expanding their family.

That's according to a source close to the couple who spoke to the National Enquirer.

Miranda Lambert Maternal Craving

Revealing a source close to Miranda, it's said that the country singer has been so caught up in her career and life with Brendan that she hadn't thought about becoming a mom - until 40 hit.

"It was like 40 punched her in the gut!" exclaimed the insider.

Miranda reportedly always wanted to have a baby for quite some time, but her fortieth birthday has brought an added sense of urgency.

According to one source who spoke to the outlet, "Brendan supports whatever decision Miranda wishes to make, yet he is thrilled that she now sees the need for haste in having children. They are taking immediate steps and determined to beat the ticking of time!"

The ex-law enforcement officer is already a dad, being the father of Landon with his previous flame, Kaihla Rettinger.

Miranda beamed with pride as she spoke to Extra in 2019 about her stepson. "He's something special," she said.

Miranda's Current Lifestyle

She explained to the news outlet her delight in their current lifestyle. "It's like having the best of both worlds," she beamed. "We have a few days here and there in New York with our little one then retreat to the farm for some peace. I honestly couldn't be happier - it's just perfect."

Though Miranda Lambert was previously married to Blake Shelton, it is clear that Brendan McLoughlin is a great partner for her.

When asked what makes their marriage work, Miranda said (via Fox), "Everybody's still trying to figure that out, I think. Communication and finding ways to laugh together are the key ingredients for a successful relationship."

Their story began when they crossed paths in 2018 while appearing on "Good Morning America." Sparks flew between the two, and before long, they decided to tie the knot only a few months later.

A source close to Miranda and Brendan shared that they are very content with their relationship and how it has stayed out of the public eye.

"They truly bring out the best in each other," the insider commented, "Miranda is delighted to have found a special someone she can call her soulmate."

However, it's best to take the National Enquirer's report with a grain of salt.
