Jon Batiste is excited about the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards but not because of his six nominations, which also include Album of the Year again.

This time, Batiste is looking forward to attending Music's Biggest Night with his wife, Suleika Jaouad by her side.

Jon Batiste, Suleika Jaouad Attending Grammys 2024

Speaking to People Magazine, Jon Batiste confirms that his wife, Suleika Jaouad, will be by his side at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

This will allow the couple to have a "do-over" as Jaouad was absent at the 2022 Grammy Awards, when Batiste was the most awarded artist of the night. In 2022, Batiste was the most-nominated artist of the night with 11 nominations.

He left the show with five awards, including Album of the Year, making him the biggest winner of the night too.

"It's our opportunity to have a do-over. In fact it's very poetic because my song that's nominated for song of the year, 'Butterfly,' started off as a lullaby that I wrote for Suleika in the hospital," Batiste revealed.

While Batiste was trying to get through the night, Jaouad is at home, watching her husband reap all the awards as she was recovering from a bone marrow transplant after having a cancer reoccurrence.

"It's hard to be present when you're in moments like the Grammys and everything is pulling your attention, and you have to be supremely focused, and you've worked all this time for a certain goal in your mind, and your partner is at home and going through this," Batiste recalled telling his new Netflix documentary "American Symphony.". "It was a lot of anxiety mixed with a lot of raw emotion and celebration. I think this year is going to be great."

According to Batiste, the night is going to be a "poetic full-circle moment" but what's more important is that the song he wrote for his wife was nominated and that they would both be together at the event.
