It's been eight years since the Irish folk singer Damien Rice released an album, but it looks like the wait is over.

Rice announced his next album, My Favourite Faded Fantasy, today (Sept. 8) via Facebook. The Rick Rubin-produced album will be Rice's third studio effort and will be available Nov. 11 on Warner Brothers Records.

According to the singer's website, the album will contain eight new songs. As an added bonus, Rice posted a preview of the title track on YouTube (see below). The slow, dreamy intro leads way to an even dreamier soundscape before the video abruptly ends. To hear the entire song, fans can pre-order the new album on iTunes and instantly download the title track starting at midnight, a post on Rice's Facebook explained.

Rice's last release, 2006's 9, peaked at number four in the UK while making it up to 22 in the U.S., according to the album's chart history on Billboard. The singer hasn't been completely silent the last eight years. In 2008 Rice lended his voice to the song "Making Noise" for Songs for Tibet: The Art of Peace in support of the Dalai Lama. Two years later he contributed "Lonely Soldier" to the Enough Project, a nonprofit against genocide. In 2011 Rice also helped out French actress/singer Melanie Laurenet with her debut, colloborating on seven tracks.
