Daddy Yankee, formally known as Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez, expressed his faith in his speech as he capped off his tour.
Daddy Yankee Devotes Himself To Jesus
As he finally went out with a bang on his Farewell Tour, La Meta, last Sunday in Puerto Rico, his hometown, Daddy Yankee has officially devoted his life to Jesus and the Christian faith. (via Faith Wire)
In his lengthy speech, Rodriguez had this to say in Spanish.
"My people, this day for me is the most important day of my life. And I want to share it with you because living a life of success is not the same as living a life with purpose," the artist said. "That is why tonight, I recognize, and I am not ashamed to tell the whole world that Jesus lives in me and that I will live for him."
As he went on, Rodriguez even mentioned that all the tools he had in his possession - music, social networks, platforms, and microphone, are "now for His kingdom."
"Thank you very much, Puerto Rico, and I hope that you walk with me in this new beginning," he added. "To all the people who followed me, follow Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth and the life. Just like Jesus, with His mercy, allowed me to travel the world, in your mercy, Father, I hope You allow me to evangelize the world from Puerto Rico. Amen."
In a separate Instagram post, Daddy Yankee has also posted some evangelical message to his fans.
"And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? For the Son of Man will come with his angels in the glory of his Father and will judge all people according to their deeds" (NLT)," he quoted Matthew 16:26-27 in Spanish.

Daddy Yankee Thrilled Fans On His Decision
According to NBC News, Daddy Yankee has publicly expressed his Christian faith in many interviews in the past. However, some of his fans are still surprised by his admission.
"Wow! Such great news. I congratulate him for being so brave. May God and the Virgin Mary cover him with their mantle and may their holy angels cover his path to this new chapter in his life," a fan said on Twitter/X.
"Wow this is such a good news ♡ Thank you Jesus, Mary, Joseph for the conversion of sinners. The Greatest find in the adventure of life is discovering God and choosing Him forever," another said.
