Wrapping up her European tour at the O2 Arena, Madonna declared to fans that she had endured a challenging journey with her injured knee.

The resilient 65-year-old icon has been sporting a leg brace during her performance, yet still managed to dance for an exhilarating two hours while commemorating her 44 years in music.

Taking her fans on a musical journey through the past four decades, Madonna wowed the audience with renditions of "Like a Prayer," "Hung Up" and "Ray of Light."

During breaks between songs, she was keen to engage her loyal supporters, who had paid up to $1640.96 for an intimate show.

Wednesday night saw a humble Madonna take to the stage, where she confessed to the audience that her health scare earlier in the year had "been through hell" experience for her leg, according to The Mirror.

Kicking off at London's O2 Arena on October 15th, the world tour of this celebrated Grammy Award-winning singer is set to span 78 shows across 15 countries, with 24 performers taking the stage - including four of her offspring.

Initially planned for the summer months, its commencement had to be deferred due to Madonna's health issue.

The spectacular performance will conclude in April in Mexico City.

Madonna's Health Scare

A few months ago, the international pop star was taken to the hospital due to a severe bacterial infection that forced her to be admitted to the ICU for several days. Bacteria can affect various parts of a person's body, including skin, blood, brain, and lungs.

Infections can cause various issues, from mild discomfort to life-threatening complications. In some cases, the condition known as sepsis results in an ailment that, if left unchecked, can be fatal.

Regretfully, this was a reality for Madonna.

Reports indicate that she was rendered unconscious in her dwelling and required an emergency injection of Narcan to combat profound septic shock before being attended to medically.

At the time, there were a variety of symptoms the singer was facing, both physically and mentally.

Physically, they could have experienced low blood pressure, difficulty breathing, cold and pale limbs, and reduced urination. Mentally, they may have been disoriented or confused.

Fortunately, Madonna was given a clean bill of health shortly after her health scare, and she returned to the stage in an impressively short period.

In the past year, Madonna had voiced concerns about her knee pain due to previously sustained hip and knee injuries incurred during her Madame X Tour in 2020.
