Toronto jazz ensemble BadBadNotGood has teamed up with Griselda rappers Westside Gunn and Conway the Machine to deliver their latest track, "Mint Chocolate." The collaborative effort is part of the repertoire from 1999 Write the Future, a fresh music collective and multimedia venture introduced by 88rising. The collective's premiere single, "World Stop Turning," featuring Rich Brian, Warren Hue, and Zion.T, debuted in October.

Accompanied by a narrative-driven music video, "Mint Chocolate" immerses listeners in the story of an elementary school band named Ryan and the Destroyers. This imaginative visual element adds an extra layer to the musical collaboration, creating a holistic experience for fans.

BadBadNotGood, known for their innovative jazz sound, made their return in October with the release of "Sleeper," a collaborative track with Charlotte Day Wilson. The group's previous album, Talk Memory, had hit the shelves in 2021.

Westside Gunn, who recently dropped his latest album, And Then You Pray for Me, enlisted Conway the Machine's features on tracks like "Mamas PrimeTime" and "Kostas." Conway himself has been exceptionally prolific in 2023, contributing to various projects such as Pain Provided Profit, Won't He Do It, Conway the Machine Presents: Drumwork the Album, Speshal Machinery, and Conductor Machine. His upcoming release, Palermo, alongside producer Wun Two, is set to drop next week on December 22. The collaborative efforts of BadBadNotGood and Griselda rappers in "Mint Chocolate" offer a unique blend of musical styles, further enriching the diverse landscape of contemporary music.
