Happy birthday, Eddie Vedder!

Eddie Vedder Bio 

Edward Louis Severson III (professionally known as Eddie Vedder) was born on December 23, 1964 in Evanston, Illinois. Eddie's parents divorced not too long after he was born, with his mother shortly thereafter remarrying, and opening up a home that cared for foster children, as per Biography.com. 

Eddie believed that his stepfather was his biological parent for many years. When he finally discovered the truth, he held angst for had believing a lie. This angst was an inspiration in the music Eddie created, including that of Pearl Jam's classic hit, "Alive." 

When the Vedder family moved to San Diego county, Eddie moved out of the family's home, and tried to support himself through studying high school. When he dropped out of school in entirety, his mother was divorced again. Eddie eventually acquired his mother's maiden name and at this point, lived in Chicago with her. 

Eddie Vedder Music Career Beginnings and Pearl Jam 

In the latter years of Eddie's life, he started to pursue his career in music by joining many bands, in which he joined one of the bands called, Bad Radio. Eddie continued to work on his career in music in between of working on the side as a hotel security guard and a gas station attendant. 

Eddie was one of the last members to had been recruited to become a Pearl Jam member. With Eddie joining Pearl Jam, the band released their debut album, "Ten," in 1991.

Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam, Hits and Accomplishments

Eddie provided vocals on Pearl Jam's debut album tracks, such as, "Alive," "Even Flow", and "Black." "Ten" was also inclusive of the band's hit single, "Jeremy." The official music video of "Jeremy" was a key source in propelling the song to the top of the charts. 

Pearl Jam was notably known for exploring themes of depression, suicide, and angst in the music they have been creating. As such, the group propagated music lovers that belonged to a population called, Generation X. In order to maintain the group's stance on being exceptional, Pearl Jam never released official music videos for any of the singles from their sophomore album, "Vs." (1993).

In a another, but, related news, Eddie Vedder's bandmate, Pearl Jam's drummer, Matt Cameron, shared that the band is currently in the works in releasing a new album, and plans to go on tours soon. Cameron made the announcement during a feature appearance in "The Vinyl Guide" podcast. According to Matt, Pearl Jam has been working on a new album with musician, Andrew Watt, and all that's left is coming up with a specific release date for it, and scheduling the group's upcoming tours, as per Blabbermouth.net.
