A brand new year is coming and most of the time, people would share their resolutions for them to improve things about themselves. This is almost the same case with Metallica's James Hetfield who got candid about his personal life and shared a few things about his plans for 2024.

The musician spoke on the latest episode of "The Metallica Report" podcast along with bandmate Robert Trujillo to share some of their favorite moments from their tour this year as well as the things they plan to do for the new year.

Trujillo revealed that during the pandemic, he studied French, and he wanted to go back and learn more languages. In addition, he also wanted to be organized in life.

James Hetfield Message for 2024

Hetfield later shared his thoughts and plans for 2024 and most fans wouldn't expect this type of answer from him.

At first, he acknowledged all the good things that happened to him, saying, "reflecting on the past year, [I'm] super grateful for what I've got, what I've gone through. [I] always really look forward to what the next year will bring." (via Loudwire)

He further noted that the older he gets, it's both harder and easier, but he's always looking forward to play in front of thousands of fans and to meet them along the way.
