Chaka Khan is considered a legend in the music industry as she had countless hits during her prime years and already spent the last few decades touring. However, for her future plans, it appears that the singer won't go on a series of concerts anymore.

The "Through the Fire" songstress recently spoke to Rolling Stone in an interview where she confirmed that she will "not do another tour" anymore.

One of the main reasons why she decided to stop performing at shows was because of her fortune, saying, "I got this rich-ass life."

There is also a bigger reason than money as she also wanted to spend more time with her family, adding, "I've got great-grandchildren I want to get to know better. So I will not do another tour."

Khan clarified later on that she won't completely stop performing, but rather, she wants to sing live where she could still rest.

"I'll do dates, but it won't look like a tour. They'll be far enough apart that I can have time to sleep in between," she added.

When asked if she would retire from performing altogether, she simply answered: "Well, I might do that three or four times, like other b****** do."

Chaka Khan Talks About Longevity

Elsewhere in the interview, the singer was asked about her musical legacy and how she wanted to be remembered in the future when she's gone.

Her answer was unexpected as Khan said she doesn't really care. Although she clarified that she hopes her tracks has some "longevity" for future generations to hear, but it's also okay for her if it doesn't happen. (via Consequence)
