Childish Gambino Issue With Woman in 'Awaken, My Love!' Album Cover

The recent news comes after the singer was called out on social media by a woman named Giannina Otero, the person who appeared on the album cover of Childish Gambino's album "Awaken, My Love!"

She detailed her post, confirming that she and her team only received "low pay" for the project and never got residuals from anything. She further noted that the person who received residuals was the designer who created the headpiece she wore, but she believed that she also deserved it.

"After years of lies and silence then finding out statute of limitation complications... it's been an exhausting, emotional, and overall sad thing to deal with," she added.

Otero further noted that the situation took a lot from her and her team as all of them worked on the album cover with "so much love" and she was happy that she was able to represent Black artists.
