Former President Barack Obama might have left office years ago, but his relevance to pop culture has never departed.

In fact, he keeps himself updated now and then with the most promising and eclectic song choices.

In the list that he uploaded on Twitter, it can be deduced that Barack Obama's music taste is a mixture of chart-toppers, "dad songs," acclaimed pieces, and TikTok hits.

Among the songs that he had selected were Karol G and Shakira's "TQG," perhaps one of the biggest collaborations this 2023, and the biggest one in Latin music.

Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves' "I Remember Everything" also made it into the list, despite only being released recently.

According to Rolling Stone, Obama had also selected a few acclaimed pieces like Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar's "America Has A Problem," Allison Russell's "The Returner," Megan Thee Stallion's "Cobra," "Big Thief's "Vampire Empire, "Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit's "Cast Iron Skillet," and Burna Boy and 21 Savage's "Sittin' on Top Of The World."

Asake and Olamide's "Amapiano," Yng Lvcas and Peso Pluma's "La Bebe" (Remix), Blondshell's "Joiner," Tems' "Me & U," and Victoria Monet's "On My Mama," were also picked.

TikTok hits like Tyla's "Water" Dave and Central Cee's "Sprinter, and Mitski's "My Love Mine All Mine also made it to the cut. While Obama also chose Lenny Kravitz's "Road to Freedom" and Rita Wilson and Keith Urban's "Crazy Love."

Earlier this year, Barack Obama also released his Summer Playlist 2023.

Fans were especially thrilled with the variety and diversity of artists included in the former president's playlist - another manifestation of how trendy and updated he is with pop culture and music in general.

Included in the list are songs from Nicki Minaj, Drake, Ice Spice, SZA, Stevie Wonder, Boygenius, Janelle Monae, Peso Pluma, Rosalia, Rauw Alejandro, Ashley McBryde, Luke Combs, 2Pac, Dr. Dre, Nas, Pearl Jam, Janet Jackson, Otis Redding, The Rolling Stones, Ike and Tina Turner, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, and even Bob Dylan, among many others.

"Like I do every year, here are some songs I've been listening to this summer - a mix of old and new. Look forward to hearing what I've missed," he tweeted.
